About 3 years ago I purchased a 2007 outlander XLS and found heat wasn't hot. I purchased a AUXILIARY ELECTRIC WATER PUMP OF A 2011 Audi A4 2.0 turbo on E bay for $39. I removed the air box. I removed the hose that comes off the thermostat housing (place something under the vehicle so you don't spill antifreeze.) I removed the hose from the heater core. I used about 4 inches of the original hose and forced it on the auxiliary pump.( the hose is 5/8 and the pump is 3/4 .I used hair spray to lubricate the hose and it helps to seal it as well.) On the discharge side of the pump which will be pointing to the driver side fender, I used a Gates hose #19312 from the pump to the heater core, no need to cut fits perfectly. I ran two wires over the master cyl ( I cut about 12 inches of wire to the pump ) Then replaced air filter box back. You can set up a switch inside. Please let me Know if this works for you . Especially those in Canada that I read about. Thanks.
