Exclamation Cel p1390 ?

Hi all. In my 96 Eclipse I had an oil leak from the head gasket. Upon fixing that, I replaced the timing belt, head gasket of course, valve cover gasket, power steering pump, and water pump. When I started it up first time, I could hear almost a rubbing noise in the timing belt cover. After driving it first time, when I got the car up to 70 MPH my CEL came on. I checked it & it threw up P1390 - Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more. Cleared that out and drove to/home from work. Again, when I reached 70 MPH the same code went up.

I've read a few threads but all with different answers. I'm hoping it's something as simple as making the comp 're-learn' using a DRB-III tool. All help appreciated - thanks

Reset the ECU and check your timing one more time.

^ tried that. It's still throwing up the same code every 5 minutes. Had it 5 times now.

Try google. I found an article that may be of use to you.

Mitsubishi Eclipse DTC P1390

It seems like this is a common issue.
